Can I wash my slippers in the washing machine?

Please do not wash your sheepskin slippers in the washing machine. All our sheepskin slippers are handmade. See our guide on how to clean and take care of your slippers.

How to clean your sheepskin slippers
  • We do not recommend that you machine wash your Wild & Wol slippers. 
  • To clean the outside, simply wipe with a damp, cotton cloth and apply hide food to the leather covering. For Springbok slippers, apply a hide protection spray. 
  • For more stubborn stains, lightly brush the cover with a soft-bristled brush before treating it. 
  • To clean the sheepskin, you can use a brush to remove dry dirt.
  • If you would like to freshen up your sheepskin, lightly spray a mixture of water and tea tree oil into the slipper and allow it to dry completely in a shaded area. 
  • The soles can be cleaned with soap and water using a cloth or a brush.

Can I put slippers in the dryer?

How do I choose the correct size?

All our slippers are sized according to the EU shoe sizes. To get the best fit please refer to our sizing guide.

If your foot length falls between sizes, we recommend that you size up. For example, if you are size 6½ please choose a size 7.

Most of our customers prefer getting one size bigger than their normal shoe size.

    What are Wild & Wol slippers made of?

    Our slippers were custom designed to ensure a perfect, comfortable fit. After months of wear, your slippers should still hug your feet snugly without slipping off with each step.

    • The 100% genuine leather coverings on all our slippers add elegance and strength to the outer shell, preventing them from becoming worn-through.
    • Our leather is treated to repel moisture and prevent spills from soaking into the interior. This means your slippers are easy to clean. Simply use a damp cloth.
    • The Cosy and Classic slipper designs boast a small, flexible insert to strengthen the heel and maintain the integrity of the slipper's shape.
    • Our soles are custom made from a combination of foam and rubber. This makes them lightweight, very flexible, and more durable. The rubber allows for more grip and soundless steps. The sloping sole offers more support at the heel.
    • Our slippers are made from 100% Merino Sheepskin inside and out. We don't use any processed wool or fabrics. Just tanned sheepskin.

     

    Can I get a refund if I don't want my purchase anymore?

    Yes, you can return your purchased items for a refund if you change your mind, but you may be charged for the extra shipping. Please see our refund policy for more details.

    How long will my slippers last?

    Our slippers come with a warranty of 12 months against any manufacturing defects. However, with proper use and a bit of TLC they should snuggle your feet for several years to come.

    Can I exchange my purchase?

    If you change your mind about the size or colour of style of your purchase we will gladly exchange your item(s), but you may be charged for the extra shipping.

    If your products have a defect within the warranty period, we will gladly exchange it free of charge.

    Why are sheepskin slippers better?

    Sheepskin provides a lot of health and comfort benefits. Sheepskin is naturally breathable, it helps to regulate temperature, absorbs moisture and reduces sweaty odours. See our sheepskin infographic for more fun details.

    Can the slippers be resoled?

    After several seasons, you might find your soles beginning to wear through. Instead of having to buy a new pair, you can simply have your slippers resoled at a fraction of the cost. See our repairs page for more details.

    How long will I wait to get my order?

    If your order is in stock, we will disptach it immediately. Shipping may take 2-3 days for main areas, and 3-5 days for outlying regions.

    If we do not have stock, we will need 7-14 days to make your order. You will receive a confirmation message once your order has been dispatched.
